It's Vegas Time again.

I guess that Vegas was in the cards. The only problem is that when we canceled the October trip I had to give up that Executive Suite at Harrahs. Oh well, I would much rather be staying in a Deluxe room, it's just more me. Good part is that I actually saved $30 on the car rental. Go figure, book two weeks in advance and get fantastic rates. Fifteen days and counting.

So it has been some time since I actually updated this blog and for that I am sorry. Looks like there is not going to be a chance to make it to the Mega Meet in July due to some schedule conflicts. It is too bad as we have received some pretty nice offers recently for that time period. I guess we are just going to have to wait until October.

Last night we headed to the local racetrack for dinner, a couple of races, and then to hit the slots. They have been holding draws every Friday night for the past 6 weeks or so. We obviously never win anything, so you still swipe your card, get your ballots and throw them in the drum.

Had to go visit the optometrist this morning since I have had some blurry vision in my right eye for a couple of weeks now. The doc says that I have some bleeding and swelling behind the right eye and that the left eye is pretty good. The bleeding is usually a result high blood pressure, so I have to get in for some blood work, and probably a complete change in dietary habits. I would much rather make some lifestyle changes then the possible alternatives. I suppose I can enjoy the smell of... -

So the idea for today was to get into the office for a couple of hours to make a few calls and try and drum up some business and then get out for a round of golf this afternoon. Since it is pushing 4:00pm, I guess that idea will have to wait for another day.
Going to go and cut the grass and then fire up the BBQ. Chicken and steak are on the menu for tonight along with my famous BBQ sweet potatoes. Drop by if your in the area.

Well it's a nice sunny afternoon and I am sitting out back with my laptop, watching the steaks cooking on the BBQ. The sweet potatoes and corn are just about done and the steaks are about to be turned for the last time. What a nice way to start the weekend! Unfortunately I have to go see some clients in a couple of hours, or there would be a beer here with me as well.

OK, I never figured that I would ever be a "Blogger" but I guess that with this post, I have become one. Anyways, it is another rainy day up here in my part of the world and by the time that it ends, it will have set a record for the wettest summer on record, and it is still only July 23rd. On the other hand, only another 109 days and I will be on my way to Las Vegas.
